The Würth Group with Adolf Würth GmbH & Co KG in Künzelsau was founded by Adolf Würth in 1945.
After the early death of his father in 1954, Reinhold Würth took over the company with a sales volume of 85,000 Euro.
More recently the company reached a sales volume of seven billion euros, and the formerly regional business has turned into a world-wide active business of direct sales in the field of assembly and connecting technology.
Currently, the company is operating with over 360 market-active companies in 82 countries of the world. Prof. Dr. h.c. Reinhold Würth is the honorary Chairman of the Advisory Board, Bettina Wurth is the Chairwoman of the Advisory Board. Robert Friedmann is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Würth Group.
All over the world, Würth supplies approximately 2.8 million customers.
The company has grown from a 2 employee company in 1954 to currently employing nearly 51,000 employees, over half of which are actively employed as sales representatives.
Above all, Würth is a classical company of direct sales. The available product range comprises over 100,000 products and dimensions for assembly, maintenance and repair. These products are kept on stock, offered under their own special brand and distributed by the Würth sales force mainly to craft businesses, but increasingly also to medium-sized and big industry.
