Time Sert

Stage 1
Remove old thread by hand, holding
drill vertical to the hole.

Stage 2
Locate spigot of Counterbore Tool
into hole and rotate cutting to full
depth. This is controlled by shoulder
on Counterbore Tool.

Stage 3
Cut the thread with a lubricated Tap
(Cutting Oil, Art. No:
893.050
) down
to full depth, keeping Tap vertical to
the hole. Remove Tap and clean
swarf from hole.

Stage 4/5
Determine length of insert required.
Lubricate the Inserting Tool and screw
the TIME-SERT® Insert into the hole.
using wrench rotate the tool until the
Insert is seated. The Inserting Tool
will tighten up, with increasing
pressure continue to rotate the
Inserting Tool through the Insert until
it loosens up. During this phase the
lower internal threads of the Insert
are formed, securely locking the Insert
into the base material.

Stage 6
Remove the Inserting Tool. Repair is
complete, the TIME-SERT® Insert is
seated and locked into position.
